DAISY DAYS
DAISY DAYS
And the days of the stars
Eclipse in just a wink
Now the shadows of a new river
Just flows around,
But its hard to stop and wonder
How quick those daisy days
Fled the green grass
of our golden field.
Their aura still remains;
On a night like this
I hold the hands of silence
And trot along the soft dark streets,
Hoping on to a hopeless hope,
Like the journey in Midnight in Paris.
But when the wet mellow dew
Kisses the horizon hue,
A conviction cross my breast,
Our blazon radiant moon
Is no longer above our golden field.
But as the seasons are a changing,
A new stars will be in our galaxy,
And Regina's days will brighten
Our new daisy days.
