Dearest father

Since my birth, I saw this world from my father's perspective

You became the magic wand to transfer

me from nobody to someone effective 

You taught us to consider everyone around us as good and

projections of the same divine soul 

You always told me to Practice good work as our karma will sublimate our role 

Father, You became a ladder to success and added meaning to my life.

You stand erect like that tall tree that survived life's tempest and strife 

You became a protective umbrella for us which battled the stormy weather

You became that important pillar to hold the whole family together 

Your unconditional love, tolerance, your blessing, and support undiluted 

Helped me to stand tall, and touch the sky but always kept me rooted

Father, you are my role model, my hero,

My idol my entire life I tried to imbibe qualities just a few.

No matter how older I grow I will remain your little daughter and a mini reflection of you.
