A Distant Dream

Once a firefly had a conversation

With the big, bright, and blazing sun 

"I live a dream in the broad daylight

In your absence, I speak to you

In the middle of the night

At the most peaceful hours

As the Protagonist of an allegory

But you keep mum as a resilient saint

I transport into another thought chain 

Where I live, I laugh, I sob, I complain 

I play a part for which I am sent to

To accomplish a mission that I'm meant to 

And finally

I get worked up after a long day

You breathe life into me!

I feel hopeless 

You relax me!

I lose track

You enlighten me!

I feel like a fierce sun's rising within me

I get blended and blended in your brightness 

I saturate, I mature,

Even though you're a distant dream

You matter the most.

but I wonder 

In your dream 

Do I even feature? 

Firefly doesn't want to rise to the 

The sun's stature

But it basks in it's dim grace and cuteness

Sun's presence gives existence an opportunity 

And absence gives the firefly a unique identity

The sun is too humongous

Too busy for each of his creation 

But the firefly's realize

Distant dreams are not real for sure

Yet distant dream often gives a distinct vision.
