Defiance
Defiance
He who was once a flower,
And once bathed in the light of heaven,
Has now sunk into the shadows,
Into the depths of despair.
A now darkened rose,
Has grown thorns,
To keep its petals safe,
To ward its fears away.
And the rose burned,
And the winter came,
And the cold could not quench the flame.
And the rose burned,
But yet the rose remained.
