Demonic Pandemic and Angelic Warriors

Oh dear! What is this happening here! 

Cannot meet my loved and near Came the pandemic

And brought with it the lockdown 'Centuric'! 

The beginning seemed 'Vacationic',

But then came the stress and frustration. 

And brought along the fear, anxiety and scare!! 

But soon came here

Our heroes and life saviours, 

The scientists, doctors nurses and frontline workers!! 

With immense strength and courage, 

Stepped ahead leaving behind their families and friends. 

With sheer determination and incessant hardwork

To save as many lives as possible. 

Complemented by the community helpers, 

The electricians, plumbers and street cleaners. 

But alas! The number of patients went on increasing. 

What to do!!! Locals do not follow rules! 

Why are they acting like fools!!

They cried anxiously!! 

Stepped in the Policemen who collected fines 

From reckeless, careless, indisciplined civilians.

 

Those who thought they could 'show off and shine'! 

By stepping out at any time were left with few dimes! 

But it was too late!! 

The hospitals soon got full and needed more beds, medicines and oxygen cylinders! 

Stepped in the hoteliers 

Opening their doors, 

To transform

Empty hotel rooms to hospital rooms, 

Yet we were short of medicines and cylinders. 

The hardworking scientists were rewarded with indegenious vaccines. 

Out came the Central Govt with rules to divert industrial oxygen to be used as medical oxygen. 

Thus stepped in businessmen. 

While some others donated generously. 

The defence systems came up with the oxygen generators, hospitals with beds and ICU facilities sized humongously, 

With a speed electrifying indeed! 

And those providing transporation services, groceries and daily needs worked non stop and fearlessly! 

With the IT revolution

Came along online banking and online health solutions 

Reaching semi urban and rural sectors. 

And most importantly Initiation and implementation of online urban and rural education too!! 

Although God was locked in temples, 

He came to us as Spiritual thinkers and preachers who constantly spread peace, happiness and positivity. 

All these angels will beat the demonic pandemic and emerge as victors!!

Ps : We should also give 3 cheers to ourselves for being patient and calm warriors by staying at home and keeping ourselves safe!
