Dump Me Not
Dump Me Not
I come here every day
To this massive shore
And to collect the needy
Henceforth, it’s my chore.
When our eyes meet
We both know we are the same
Dignity, the value in no one’s land
We have no different fate to claim
Life gives us no wages
Like they do for most of them
We sit here with humanized polyester
Some sit there with a gem.
They hold hands and pledge
To take ahead of their nation
They don’t seem to notice us
Nor the value of our education
We could do something for you too
For knowledge is all I plead
If given, even this land could be emptied
Together with this world, we lead
But to whom do all this
I can say
Except for you, who’ll listen to me?
With an effortless pay
With you they say
The earth will doom
But who really was
Who released this fume?
My word never effects
To the world with skill
After all, I’m a man who talks to trash
And a child who works in a landfill.
