Dystopian Town
Dystopian Town
Amidst the lanes of a desolate town, he found people clinging on to dystopia,
On to broken pieces and cynical thoughts.
The women around without the slightest hope,
Hope of a new world, hope of some new dreams, hope of freedom.
He found them clinging to what had always been,
The norms and what had been considered to be norms -
Not that they had much of a choice.
Trapped within the confines of parochial mindsets,
He found the women clinging to
Uncertainties about themselves, and about the world around.
It was not the dystopia that had been set in the town, forced upon by some external means,
It was the lack of understanding, of any hint of the slightest compassion,
That had poisoned all minds with ages of cynicism.
The women flocked around in that dystopian town,
He still wished to see at least a single one
With living dreams and an urge to embrace them in her mind.
