She danced
She danced
Magistic twirls,
Her gracious moves,
She twirled to the sound of the cymbals
And of the mellifluous flute.
An uncanny beauty
She was not the conventional type,
Not the rosy cheeks,
The fair skin,
And long hair and round eyes.
She was the dreamiest of all
Her bronze skin glowing
With the flickers of mellow light,
Short wavy locks
Twirling with the wind in delight
Gorgeous brown eyes
Shining with the lustre of glee.
She danced and danced
And then danced some more,
To the endless beats of the cymbal
And the flute, creating a symphony.
What might seem a cacophony of instruments
Seemed to be the most soothing wonder
Of harmony, with her ethereal twirls.
And while she danced endlessly
To the cymbals and the flute
One could only wonder
The pure glee she beheld within.
