Earthly Vision

Am I able to sense such earthly paradise? 

With its stupendous; sovereign; 

subtle horizon;

Should we not acknowledge God 

for this heavenly prize? 

The first greatest ‘present’ as a human being, has already been won. 

Why ought we to value any other worldly possessions? 

As they’ll just stay for a finite period, 

and will be gone! 

The exquisite, elegant; flora and fauna, it contains;

The unparalleled, unending minerals 

we unearth, and we obtain. 

We must vow, promise, pledge and to 

persistently conserve and maintain. 

The second most incomparable ‘gift,’ must I mention? 

Is the vision, sight, view, and the deepest perception. 

Sometimes, I’m a bit perplexed in contemplation; 

Must I look at that, or observe this, or 

gaze in rumination? 

Memories; reminiscences; possessions, we gather. 

Due to our eyes, or its glimpses, we adapt

and reject rather. 

These two most crucial, pivotal, essential essences; 

Are the earth, that produces and our 

visual lenses that senses. 

Both ought to be bright, pious, unpolluted 

at all expenses.
