Ebullient Youth

We are 1.8 billion in the world, 

That's 1.8 billion beacon of hope,

Burning with passion and fire that's bright, 

Marching forward for the world that's kind.

We are first to respond 

And first to be affected.

We are not a threat.

Just because some of us are uneducated, unemployed and under privileged, 

We are not prospective wretch.

We live in our own actions.

Actions that affect the lives that matter.

Actions that bring in socio-political agency that shatter:

The shackles of casteism, communalism, linguism and discord; 

That aspires to establish harmony, amity and concord.

From Refugee camps to urban slums,

We fight for the world where justice comes,

Where opportunity is not a matter of luck, 

But a right for all with no one left stuck.

 

From the streets of Karnal to the villages of Perth,

We hail from every corner of the earth.

We organize and mobilize with passion and purpose,

Creating moments that are inclusive and diverse.

From Pride March to Global Climate Strikes,

From Black Lives Matter to Clean Environment Rights,

Our message is clear that it's high time.

It's time to act and make things right.

From Ridhima Pandey to Greta Thunberg,

We have shown that we are the ones,

Who are imbued with the sense of drive, 

As we strive to make the world thrive,

With voracious appetite for knowledge and change,

Our dreams and aspirations know no range.

 So, let's soar high, for we hold the key,

 To a world that is fair, just and free.
