Emptiness

Dear diary,

Sat with a cup of tea in the morning

In the balcony

Heart was empty

Nothing ran in it.

Viewed the road, it was empty,

Viewed the malls, that too empty,

I came back to the kitchen

To finish breakfast.

The little one told bottle was empty,

To fill it, I opened the Water Can,

That was too empty, 

Took another Can to fill it.

Prepared lunch and sat for a while

Thinking about the emptiness 

Running all over the world

With fear and anxiety.

Our lunch over the thought of people

Who was walking with emptied stomach

For long miles to reach their homes

Without money and their pocket is empty.

Slept in the afternoon for some time,

Cutie came with an empty saucer

And asked for snacks, realized,

Many were sitting with empty saucers.

Many fought with COVID 19 

Ended their life emptied,

Emptiness is the reality

Can't win over it.

Loving diary,

Emptiness is the part of life,

Trust in God to win over it;

With emptied heart, I'm going to bed,

Hope for good dreams to come.
