Era of Birth

In the past Era’s & Decades

In the name of culture

amidst the dense forest

hills and mountains

In the caves and bushes

On the grass beds

Under the shelter of sages

She had given birth to great

Persons and personalities

      

      In the past, history speaks of

bare fore heads, in the prison

she had given births to children

who never saw their father’s face

such children have grown bravely

      At one point of time

the present generation

with no one to bother 

with no parents to take care

in government hospital 

 such children have grown to the

heights to that of a mountain

and have gained name & fame

Today, now at Hi-tech hospitals

with qualified foreign Doctors 

      and trained nurses

on the foam beds

with father’s attention

mothers tension              

with elders restlessness

she gives birth

in the name of modernization

who are growing in the competitive world

It is alarming as to whether

there will be normal deliveries

or name sake delivery or

will it be mechanized or

any other means of techniques of delivery

would take place and

put an end to giving birth

Then what would be the status of mother wood ?
