February for Singles

Oh! Dear February, your arrival 

Raises the sadness inside me

With the increasing expectations

Of finally getting love this season,

But the fear of repeating past

also stretches its feet within me 

As each day passes till fortnight 

this fear attains an extreme height

I try my best to distract this feeling

Which comes evey year to tease me

And keep teasing me from inside-out

I try to resist all these thoughts,

But at last I start having self-doubt

That really I ain't capable of

Someone's love or affection

Why I got judged wrong

Even for my all honest actions

I ain't desperate for love 

And also believe in god's timing

But it's all this peer pressure

Which keeps blinding my eyes

With their relationships bright

I hope that this valentine season 

I too shine that bright with

The company of my love

if it doesn't happen this season

Then to comfort me and 

get ready for next season

I'll find a pretty good reason.
