Fightback

Life is not a bed of roses

nor can things be predicted

happiness too takes pause

billowing smoke and dark clouds do hover 

we are reduced to a sorrowful state

we need not lose heart nor stop 

carry on like bravehearts put strong belief on top

the pandemic has paralyzed 

our tone and tenor

shrouded our lives sans breather

interrupting journey and upsurge

future prospects look bleak

palpable option shrink borders

but this is not the time to sit with tied hands

alternatives need to be examined and tried as such

Some roads are not easy to traverse

fraught with difficulties and disruptions

but we consolidate ourselves each time 

learn to fight back the peeved situation

emerge victorious in life's sojourn

for, our faith entwined with robust belief

always spells wonder.
