Finding My Entity

Finding My Entity

2 mins
185

Yes, I am a woman,

I bleed every month,

My look is different from a man,

But not I have no identity.

I wake up early to start my new life,

But who will believe me?

Who will help me?

Who will understand me?

I have children,

But what about my children?

Their mother have no identity,

What will be their's identity?

My makeup doesn't cover my bruised face,

My sari doesn't cover wound of my body,

My fake smile doesn't hide my savage facade,

My thought doesn't give me freedom.

Years go by and I am still waiting,

Waiting and seeing the path of the angel will come,

Someone will come and give my entity,

Yet, no one comes to help me.

Some say it will get better with time,

Keep patience and enjoy your life,

Some say your thoughts are useless,

That was only your fate.

They say curse your destiny rather than cursing someone,

They say you are an idol of tolerance,

They say you will get bruises and scars,

But you must have to tolerate all.

One day, he drags my body to the floor,

Screw up my hair with his robust hands,

He chokes me and I only beg him not to kill me,

Once again he demands me my silence.

The whole night I am yelling on the floor,

Seeing my bruises and feel my pain,

Cursing my identity and nothing left in my life,

Once again he tells me I don't deserve to live.

Now I am finding my entity,

I have had enough now,

I won't be silent now,

I will take what I deserve in my life?
