Flowers for you ma'am!

I wrote her a letter,

Plenty of them followed,

Anonymous tokens of love!

None answered, feelings ignored,

Acknowledgement of only them being delivered,

All of me fell soon!

Decided to get back up on my feet,

Got dressed to meet her, still looked ugly!

Tried to erase every forgettable memory,

Efforts that ended in vain!

Drove a car to her bungalow,

All of it looked the same,

She called me waving,

Get the car ready, she smiled,

Flowers for you ma'am!

Roses you like,

She laughed and whispered, you remember!

For all I could do was nod,

A chauffer's love deserved an applaud!

For I did try, and tried hard,

Didn't leave showing up any card,

But I lost the game, 

And it was nothing ordinary that had slipped away!

It was my love unreciprocated,

She still sat on the backseat,

While we drove away on the Highway!
