For Another Day
For Another Day
Far away from the clouds rumble, the raindrops perch on the sand
Looking for the candles, my hand tumbles upon your hand
Amidst all the confusion and all the noises
Without uttering a word, we could hear each other's voices
When the time would be right, you would find the one, I was told
I stood there gawking, while you were a sight to behold
I reach for the wine, to carry forward the silence and share a few drinks
Wondering whether this would be another day when my heart sinks
I couldn't take my eyes off you, and there you were sitting, nonchalantly sipping
Oh, yes, it must have been the wine, because by now my brain was tripping
Today I came to know what would have been in the mind of Shakespeare and Keats
You were looking effortlessly beautiful, my heart skipped not one, but a few beats
I wanted to say a million things, but I deliberately sounded obscure
Whether the feelings would be reciprocated, I wasn't so sure
I walked towards the door, reeling, to every lover's dismay
Expressing my unending love for you was left for another day.
