For The Child

The epitome of happiness,

That is a child,

For them sky is the limit,

Let their mind run wild,

It is their life,

It is in their eyes to dream,

To give birth to the paradise,

Where heaven and earth are seamed.

But not all dreams are allowed in sky,

More often than not,

Are they clipped before they can fly.

"I can't spend on the one to give away",

Married away at ten,

"You have to work, that's the only way",

Was denied a pen,

Thrown away are bites,

For they don't suit the taste,

Miles away a child cried for a bite,

No matter what the taste.

For the children are of God,

And God is of the children,

They are pillars of future,

Don't treat them as a burden,

Please don't turn a blind eye to it,

Rather understand their need,

They are a child now,

But once so were we,

So do away with this creed,

In God's name, I Forbid,

For we can only be human,

When a child's rights are fulfilled.
