FREEDOM

Shot with a poisoned arrow,

The world bleeds, now in sorrow.

She has become so unkind

That survival is difficult for mankind.

Mystery, I can’t comprehend.

Who will hold me ‘til I see the end?

Everyday we struggle to survive

With hope being our only drive.

Everyone is fighting to be free

And blossom like the flowers from the tree.

No one seems to know where I’ve been

Or cares to know what I feel within.

I have traveled far and near;

Now back, my vision is so clear.

True freedom fighters don’t retreat

Even in an intense or stormy sleet.

As we fight let's open our arms to love

And let love take us far above.

When finally, our freedom is gain,

The struggles won't go in vain.
