Seventy-five years of freedom and celebrating for a day,

Many sacrifice their life and we remember for a day,

Many leaders, reformers, and extremists made it happened and we remember for a day,

Partition of many lives

And we remember for a day,

Many starved for many days

And we remember for a day,

Many years passed and will pass 

And we remember for a day,

Many people have faith

We will become powerful one day,

Our youth will migrate abroad

And we remember it for a day,

Proud for a nation still

We remember for a day,

Have to do nothing for a nation

Still blaming own country for rest days,

Showing respect and salute for a day

And finding faults rest days,

Yes, we are independent 

And we are celebrating for a day.
