I am a SECRET

a story, not to be told

meant to be written down

to keep the past events safe and secure.

My pages are the witness

to your SMILES and TEARS

and to your MEMORABLE DATES

with memories both sweet and bitter.

Your each memory is written on me

and are special to me as well

for they are dated every time

while being penned down on me.

I have been a friend and companion

to the unspoken words, sunken in your heart

and a worthy treasurer to your

limitless thoughts and secrets, that no body knows.

You fill my pages with the ink of your emotions

often sitting alone in your gloomy days

and sometimes turn them back in your leisure,

to see what you have written for many days.

Some memories have DESERTED you,

but they are still fresh in my white leaves.

You transferred your memories to me

and as a true friend I accepted it.

I am very CLOSE and DEAR to you

so are YOU to ME.
