Harsh Realities

I never thought I would grow up this fast,

Never had I in my wildest dreams thought that the world would be like this.

As a child, I always thought;

I will grow up to be a princess and then this princess would find her prince charming and that perfect guy or in other words my prince charming will save me from the troubles of the world,and soon I will have a happily ever after.

But, ain’t the reality too different?

Huh? You don’t meet a prince charming,

Your dreams shatter,

You lose hope

And yes that happily ever after, still remains a dream too impossible to be possible.

Yeah, that is what it is;

Welcome to the reality.

Umm, Did I just give you an awakening call?

Cause If I did, I am not so sorry;

It's just what it is,

Us being stuck in this eternal journey called LIFE without knowing what might happen next, and just hoping that everything turns out well;

We dream, sometimes these dreams become our so called reality yet other times they reside in the depths of our hearts as scars of the past.

That's the real world nobody ever ever told us about.

The life thats not a fairytale but a journey with harsh realities.

You see, as a child, I don’t actually remember being told that “DREAM BIG BUT NOT TOO BIG CAUSE YOUR DREAMS MAY NOT COME COME TRUE”

You see, we live in a world where we are not taught what to do if things don’t turn out as we planned.

We as kids were always taught that succes comes to those who work hard but has anyone even questioned how hard exactly?

You see some people work their whole lives trying to achieve something, something that they have never had yet others don’t even work hard but are known as the so-called rich people of society. Why?

Cause well, we live in a world where the rate of our success is measured by our wealth and not how happy we are.

Let me tell you a bitter truth, I have myself seen the so-called successful people of society the people who have every single thing live their lives in sorrow and guilt yet people who literally have nothing live their lives lives with pride and joy.

This is what life is, its not a piece of cake, its not easy as we had imagined it to be but whatever it is, however it is, You yes you my dear have gotta hold onto it. 

Don’t think too much about the past or the future just enjoy where you are right now and what you are doing.

Now as someone very famous once said Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans.

Umm, so yeah; I never thought I would grow up this fast but yes, I have learned, learned how to love life and embrace it.
