Trigger Warning: Self-Harm

The first time I saw him,

He was handsome.

Unlike all his other cabaret brothers,

He wore a stunning silver tuck.

Shimmering gloves, held the mic as he sang,

His nails, lighting up the room like diamonds.

His singing, stupefying me into a trance,

And his movements, sensually asking me to dance with him.

And we danced,

Gliding together,

His fingers lightly holding my waist,

And my nails touching his arms,

As his hands guided me along the dance floor.

And then, slowly but steadily,

He became a habit,

I would see him once in a while,

And dancing, we would leave trails on each other.

And while I knew, he was dangerous,

I danced till my conscious hit me hard,

And I left him,

Waiting.

And one and a half year later,

He was still there,

Same as ever,

Silver tuck, shimmering gloves,

Diamond nails, sensual moves.

And I fell again for him,

Once more, the same trail marks left on each other,

His finger marks or my dress,

My blade marks on his arms.

It was toxic,

But he was handsome, sensual, and stunning as ever,

And after all,

Pain is sometimes, just so beautiful.
