Why did love plunge so deep and deep, my dear?
Why did it quicken the beat of my heart, I fear?
A wildfire of love consumed me entirely,
Leaving my life engulfed in darkness, I see.
Her beauty pierced my heart, like a dagger, yesterday,
How can I contain this pain, is there a way?
Yesterday, my love was caught in a stormy season,
Why did you leave, like rain, without any reason?
Look into my heart and witness your reflection, dear,
Why did you need a mirror to admire yourself, insincere?
Now, a heart shattered, this poem I write,
In the ashes of love, I bid you farewell, out of sight.
