Her Story
Her Story
She had a mind, that dreamt of big ideas,
Her heart was of gold, to love all;
A passion for education she nurtured always,
Her parents, she held above all.
She walked through her innocent childhood
Towards teenage, full of youth;
Sincerity and dedication she exhibited in her actions,
People around her admired, as she spoke the truth.
Never did she voice her opinion or raise objection
When her siblings were pampered more,
She didn’t resent when she had to postpone
Her studies and get married before.
Her mind boggled when she faced
Humiliation and disgrace in her newly-wedded life;
Her heart bled, her eyes cried,
When she was all alone to repent upon this life.
Introvert was she, or naïve? I cannot say.
She made the mistake of ignoring her inner voice;
She could have spread her wings across the sky,
But, blindly followed others’ advice!
Once determined, she stood up, wiped her tears,
And, promised to fulfil her dreams;
She shed her fragility to hold her sword,
With guts of steel, and blessings of the Supreme.
Stepping out of a despairing life she pursued higher studies,
And, stepped into the beautiful phase of her motherhood;
Breaking her silence, today, she stands as a winner, my best friend
Still a dreamer, she’s my bestie, and an epitome of womanhood.
