She rang the door bell twice

I opened, she ran like mice

Dropped her baggage

Loosened her dress

Threw her hairband and socks

Kept one more on a pile of rocks

And flung in swing

She was home

I asked did you finish lunch?

Want something to munch?

She grumbled why do you ask

Opened fridge took a chocolate

In the sun let me bask

She was home

She took out her diary

Showed me notice

Then looked into my eyes

She got me a patiice (from friend’s lunch box)

Mumma, taste it and make me same

Her eyes were tame, her voice went low

She had bruised her elbow, then jumped in joy

Oh boy!!

She had won a medal..she had forgotten

But now

She was home

Then she turned pages of her

favorite book

Rough book*

And showed me her drawing

In class full of monkeys

When the teacher kept them quiet

Her heart was in the garden of house

She even drew the mouse

Now she colored it lying low

An the floor

She was home
