Homeliness
Homeliness
Icy winters
In the school bus
Smoky air exhaled through the mouth
Was such a great fuss
Rubbing both hands
To warm up the numbed fingers
While reading the question paper
Was a ritual in winters
Flaunting new scarves
With matching socks
Or a muffler
From grandma's box
Just a few years of life
Away from my place
I can no more bear
Icy air on my face
I am surprised at how
My body has lost
It's love for winters
Snow and frost
