Hope
Hope
She lost her best companion. Almost.
She lost him for a long time to come,
Cruel twist of fate rendered him motionless,
She too wished to run into an oblivion!
She folded her hands in prayer, desperate for answers;
She sobbed inconsolably, lying on her mother's lap, squeezing her father's hands;
She lived in rage, her emotions had gone haywire;
She looked for peace everywhere!
Someday, everything will be fine;
Someday, her husband would be back and active, they would all play in the park again;
She saw hope in her one year old darling son - in his smile, in his little acts, in his eyes, in his future;
Hope was the best answer to her grief.
