Leaving the rest of our lives to shambles 

Just a hit and run vehicle that sped your way 

All that remained is your bleeding body and wrecked vehicle

We fondly remember the smile you had on your pinkish lips 

The day we bought you a new mobike

Not just as a gift but your achievements in academics 

Though your birthday coincided with results

Posing like prince 

With your hands on the handles 

You kick started joy and glee

Though we are afraid you assured us a safe drive 

Taking us through narrow lanes 

A trip after trip 

I your father , granny and your sister 

Memories flash our psyche

Even on that ill-fated day 

We wished you a safe journey as ever 

You left us with an amusing smile

Little we know that it is your last smile 

Oh ! Dear is it our fault that we bought an iron horse 

That you could not handle by it's reign 

Or is it the fault of the driver who drank to his belly full 

Dozing on a highway

Oh ! Dear how could you vanish into thin air 

Without any prior warning or indication

Our souls ache beyond expressions

What else can we do except to curse ourselves to join you at the earliest
