WHY SHOULD I WRITE

WHY SHOULD I WRITE !

Yes, Why should I write melancholy

When my soul is in bliss 

Even from my childhood

I never watched tragedy either in serials or on the silver screen

They lived happily ever after are the stories I listened to on my bedside

You may ask me haven't you gone through a tragedy whole your life 

I did, not one but many 

Each time there was a shoulder to lean on 

May be God sent or God himself answering my prayers 

When I began to write a few verses

I wanted to be a hope 

Like a beacon of light

Far extending my reach on to the un lit paths 

A ray of hope on the other side of the tunnel

Let my verse serve as a candle if not a lantern

Some told me in private 

You are blessed twice 

Your few writes provide us solace 

We read them when our spirits are at a low ebb

Each time they provide a hope to live and fight 

Yes, I promised myself

Never to write a tragedy whole my poetic life
