I am just a bystander
I am just a bystander
I am just a bystander
I neither am a soldier nor am I a politician
And I watch the soldiers die not in a battlefield, while helping refugees
I watch as the politicians blame each other for the lives lost not in mourn but in scorn
I neither am a journalist, nor am I a socialist
So I watch the terror comes right through my neighbor's door
And the world watches with wide open eyes
I am not a religious scholar nor do I understand gods will very well
So I watch children blow themselves up in the name of gods will
And I watch men and women bleed for the mistakes of their forefathers
And few men applaud their killers as it serves their propoganda and agendas
I am just a bystander
So I watch as the thirst for power is driving people insane
And I watch the madness and destruction
I watch as the humanity is shattered into pieces
And think to myself maybe this very well be the end of this planet.
As I said I am just a bystander.
