I Am Waiting
I Am Waiting
I am waiting
to recreate the scene once more
wish this time you whisk me away
to a different world altogether...
It has been ages we sat over a cup
the ritual has a distinct mark
in my memory slot
ah me! it sends sighs and hiccup
I visit the corridors of office the forlorn benches of the park
but, only in vain...
the haunting melody drives away cheer
breathes in balmy nostalgic strain
torrid flow of life perhaps...has sucked all sap
and filled rainbows with festering ballads
my jaded eyes have not been irrigated
for quite a while
they have become deserts, devoid of nectar
lonesome moments have melded into dusky hours and years
flickering silhouette of hope pings my soul at times
asking me to stay afloat
embrace zephyr of love and ...my involuntary steps check front door often
even without a buzz
I wish ...we shall share
some ravishing moments soon
dipped in the enchanting brew...
leaving behind these empty pages of life
to weave a tapestry anew.
