Imperfections
Imperfections
I’ve been ashamed of my innumerable flaws.
I’ve worried about His wrath at this unpardonable sin.
So, I’ve prayed, seeking His forgiveness,
“Please forgive me and make me like him
That perfect human devoid of any flaw!”
God smiles at my imbecility, and says,
“Only I can add value to your holes
You can’t see your worth yourself
Like the musk deer confused about its own fragrance
But allow Me to help you see it.
Unlike the proud flawless gardening water can
You water the scattered seeds and thirsty greens everywhere
You don’t care but you receive blessings in return.
You walk through the tarred road least realising
How its sides have become fragrant, colourful and lively!
Dear child, embrace your follies as a gift from Me.
Those are crevices through which My Light enters.
It first fills you with radiance and then travels to the world.
Your imperfections make you a humble human
You’re a beauty that seldom can anyone be!”
