In The Laps Of A Meadow
In The Laps Of A Meadow
The rolling meadow welcomed me with open arms
I lay on its lap lost in my dreams
An eternal sunshine swept through my face
Am I the only one to hear nature's voice?
The blades of grass danced to the tunes of the wind
Deep breaths of joy injected peace into my mind
Words popped out from my heart and weaved themselves into a melodious song
I have got nothing to lose if I stay here for long
The cooing birds flapped their wings to beautify the sky
A silent dog passed by as if it were a spy
A blissful tears formed in my eyes,
As I glanced at the jubilant leaves of trees
A thorn pricked my toe making me wince
For a minute, it managed to breach my peace
But the paradise manufactured by nature erased all the pain
I am joyfully travelling in the thought train
Waving goodbye is hard
But life has to move forward
Days can pass by but memories never fade
It soothes our hearts akin to a tree's shade.
