Independence Day

Brave warriors fighting one million days,

To obtain freedom from Britishers,

Gandhiji's non-violence movement,

Bharathiyar expressing them through poem,

Many freedom fighters through various means,

Made India to gain Independence,

Beautiful Tiranga flying high in the sky,

Makes us feel blessed,

Saffron indicates bravery of the warriors

White indicates the peacefulness after Independence, 

Green indicates the prosperity of the free India,

Blue Chakra indicates the 24 hours of the day,

Tricolor flag everywhere, 

Creates cheer on our faces,

Flag hoisting here and there,

Which reminds me the sacrifices of our freedom fighters,

I am proud to be an Indian,
