Invasion
Invasion
My love for you blows my reason
The notions in my brain
Run oozy woozy sans sense.
I pause to think
On the beach, on the boat,
In the bar, in the light.
Yet, I fail to grasp
The fall of my brain;
That rosy mass has turned blue.
Streaks of blue and longing
Have grown inward
Seeking streams of my warm red blood.
And in they go, with some potion of the devil
Caking the cells of sanity in myself.
I feel the freeze, and I pause.
I pause to think
On the bridge, on the bus,
In the bed, in my sleep
Yet, I fail to grasp,
This death inside my head
All I feel is a frost.
That chill of love
Sprawling and stretching across the itch
I harbour in my round body.
