Is This True Monsoon?
Is This True Monsoon?
You would never know
If it were the morning glow
Or the intense sunlight
Or the evening twilight
'Cause such was the season
The clouds are the only possible reason
A time when the windows are hazy
A time when we are lazy
If it were a normal day
The toddlers would come out trampling over the dried hay
Clad in raincoats
The goatherds would rush with the goats
The school girls would swish their skirt
And the school boys would walk along the dirt
The water droplets would come down
From the cloud who owns the crown
They would shower on the flowers
For nearly hours and hours
Making the atmosphere pleasant
With old couples listening to songs obsolescent
But lets not enjoy yet
For the crisis we have met
Now, only the raindrops dance
And we don't even have a chance
To show our gesture of amity
Else we will lose the unity
That binds us against the pandemic
That has earned the title of being epic
One small mistake
And the whole world suffers the ache
Sitting by the window sill
All we can do is sit still
Hoping for this to go soon
'Cause this isn't the true monsoon
