Isolation

We often complain

About others

And end up isolated

In an island

Of our own making.

We hardly forget

And rarely forgive.

We expect and

Fail in someone else's

Expectations.

We blame the universe

For our own shortcomings.

We are not thankful

For our blessings.

We complain and complain

Some more.

We create our own

Isolated island

And curl up on the shore.

We feel we are exclusive;

Different from the others.

But if we look closely,

We will find numerous

Islands of isolation.

We often complain,

"Life is so unfair, and oh so lonely!"

That we miss the echo of the words

Playing universally.
