It Don't Make Any Sense

It Don't Make Any Sense

So much of my life I've missed out on...

Went numb.

Don't know what we have till it's gone.

How dumb.

All the time gone to waste...

Under the thumb.

Going blind from the taste,

and still wants some.

Efforts in vain when you're

chasing your tail.

In the fast lane but as

slow as a snail.

The world is a prison,

we cannot make bail.

It is what it isn't,

Try and you'll fail.

The dizziness of busyness,

has left my head spinnin'.

It's hideous and pitiless,

The beast that's been hidden.

It's busiest in it's bitterness,

By hatred, be driven.

I missed class, but passed the test.

The walking dead are living.

I've been put down so much,

My floor is a ceiling.

I'm cold to the touch, because

my senses are reeling.

Losing my clutch,

My fingers stopped feeling.

Somebody please! Wake me up,

I must be dreaming.

I'll stop screaming, when this

ride finally ends.

The video's still streaming

of a world with no friends.

The spider web is teaming

with victims that have no defense.

I finally stopped the bleeding,

and I haven't been bitten since.

What they do for the mighty dollar,

don't make any cents.

Climbing a hill won't make you taller.

It don't make any sense.

Always broke, but you act like a Baller.

It don't make any cents.

Hanging up when you're the winning caller,

It don't make any sense.

I won't live life all stressed and tense.

It all just don't make any sense.

So much of my strife that I've blamed on...

My mom.

I have arrived where I came from...

So long.

Save some time, copy/paste...

What could go wrong?

Way behind in the race,

Flavorless gum.

Running from pain when

you're smoking the Yail.

Trying to get paid, you hope

you're checks in the mail.

Don't want to be beat, yet

there's so many you flail.

All the blood on your feet,

and you're looking quite pale.

The insidiousness and shiftiness,

The Cheshire Cat grinnin'.

They're callous and they're vitreous,

like over starched linen.

I'm tempered and I'm igneous,

I pray against our sinnin'.

The sickness that I witness,

Has been in us from the beginning.

I've been through so much.

My senses are reeling.

I keep grinding the clutch,

and my paint job is peeling.

I'm the only one still standing up,

when everyone else is kneeling.

Pour some mercy in my cup,

Maybe my soul will start healing.

I'll start feeling better, when

all this shit ends.

Maybe I should write a letter,

to all my dearest friends.

You won't ever see me break,

We all gotta sometimes, bend.

Help me take these broken hearts,

and put them back together again.
