It's Complicated

It started off one day

When you were about to be bae;

While we roam around everywhere and play

In my mind, the words you did say.

 

It was like spending a lifetime;

Emotions growing within, prime.

The parody still seemed a rhyme

While the heart desired for another crime.

 

I opened up and started sharing

While you were nice and very understanding.

I carried on saying every bit, revealing,

As it was for me, the next big thing.

 

Then came the moment when I got serious

And this changed everything, outdoing the previous.

Expectations developed within were delirious;

Which was gonna make the entirety, very hideous.

 

As always you had work and were quite busy,

But my heart longed for more, becoming dizzy.

Seeing you talking to someone else, felt fishy;

Thence I got harsh, making it nasty.

 

Regrets are there every time I dial

And I feel the separation long as a mile.

I still desire there, that beautiful smile

Reason being me, once in a while.
