Karma

He sees life as a consequence of actions 

And it's not just good or bad, 

Better or worse, he sees it as 

A direct reciprocation of what goes around.

As though, what happens has 

Always been meant to happen, and that

No alteration of circumstances, henceforth

Could change the inevitable.

He does not believe in 

The futile games of any fortune tellers,

Who claim to know it all and sometimes,

Bluff to possess the ability 

To play with the inescapable future,

For he dearly believes in the 

Most enigmatic mannerisms of Karma

Which bears the capability 

To surprise one in the most indefinite way

And in the most difficult moments.

Perhaps, he believes in destiny,

No, not the one which is believed to play

In the palms of one's hands, 

He believes in something even deeper,

Even greater that a mere intersection 

Of some apparent lines of fate.

He believes in one shaping their own destiny

With all that they have done

As a result of their beliefs and prejudices,

Their opinions and the consequent actions.

It's certainly not cynicism, 

The way he sees life, as a game of actions

And Karma, it's him being 

Really realistic, that he's figured life 

The way it has always been - 

A chessboard of actions and consequences,

Just how it should be - unexpected, yet fair.
