We are walking together

Towards the unknown

You and me strangers

Yet known

To you and me.

We don't belong together

Yet are confined within

The four walls.

They scream at us

Our apathy for each other

Well known to them.

We are travellers in time

You and me

We don't resist each other

Giving each other weird company

Not being there yet staying together.

We are walking together for ages

Maybe I had some karmic debts to be repaid

And you happened to be the creditor of those.

When will that bend in the road come

I know not

But I'm waiting with bated breath

When our paths will separate

And we go our separate ways

I towards the unknown

You towards eternity.

Till then we walk together

Silently, heads bent

Not knowing what to say to the other

Unexpected, repressed emotions

Morning to dusk to night

Always the same.
