Labour Day
Labour Day
On Labour Day, we honor the sweat and toil
Of workers who churn the wheels of this soil
With grit and grind, they keep the world in motion
And fuel our lives with relentless devotion
From dawn till dusk, they put in their all
Their labor is the backbone, standing tall
In factories, fields, and offices too
They work hard to make our dreams come true
Their hands bear callouses and scars
Yet they carry on, they reach for the stars
For they know that their labor has worth
And that one day, they shall reap its birth
They build the bridges that we cross
And pave the roads that we use to toss
They clean our streets and sweep our floors
And serve us food behind closed doors
Their labour keeps the world on its feet
And helps us triumph in our every feat
So let us honor them on this day
And thank them for their sweat and play
For they are the backbone of our economy
And the reason for our comfort and harmony
Let us raise a cheer for their hard work
And promise to treat them with respect and perk.
