Lament in Loyalty
Lament in Loyalty
Lament in Loyalty
Do not reproach me, for I've melted in your grace,
In days of parting, destiny shifted—the day of union changed its face.
All dreams that came, futile, they turned,
Some embers in the night, some at morn's light burned.
Ask not our whereabouts; a misconception in your heart,
You beckoned, we came; you said, we'd depart.
In loyalty's logic, fidelity's thorns were sharp,
Crafting heart-made shoes, on loyalty's chart, we'd embark.
We declared our state, benevolent it turned out,
Changed we here, and there too, they turned about.
In my heart, a yearning; on my lips, their name,
Towards the door of verses, singing a song, I became.
On the path of passion, no companions stay,
Those who've wandered, moved ahead and found their way.
