Last night

I met you in my dreams

the dreams that stopped coming

my way

a long long time back

but

you were there last night

dressed oh so handsomely

in the neatest of clothes

with your perfect long hair

touching your slender shoulders

you were dancing

your steps oh so fine

the rhythm- so pure

and smile- that is one contagious smile

“Let’s?”

You asked

I gave you my hand

you held them firmly

letting me know- you’re here

you’ll be there

we danced for a while

for a long time

holding on to each other as if

it is the last night

last night of living in each other’s eyes

last night of living in each other’s smile

your hands-

they ran through my hair

onto my arms

and your girl- she got chills running down her body

you do that to me

have that kind of love,

power, and authority

over me.
