Let's Save Her
Let's Save Her
She looked like a flower,
So beautiful and so pure,
She smelt like rain,
So refreshing and new,
She sounded like cuckoo,
So pleasant and melodious,
But within a blink of eye,
She was all gone.
Who was she?
I often wondered.
Sometimes she hid behind trees,
Sometimes she swam in the rivers,
Sometimes she even flew with the birds,
But never did she last more than a minute.
Was she a dream?
Or an illusion,
I often wondered.
Then someday I heard her crying,
At the railing of a bridge,
She was about to give up her life.
I caught hold of her,
Her skin felt like it was slowly dispersing,
I got scared.
She looked ragged and dirty,
And smelt of burnt trees,
I asked her what had happened.
She looked at me slowly,
And whispered,
"Save me, I am dying..."
And then she was gone.
Never could I ever see her again.
Just kept wondering,
Who she was.
