Life Of Death

I walked with a myriad of steps,

Keeping my earnings,

In the banks of time;

But they all hid in silence,

With the kiss of death.

Within those breathing,

And unbreathing moments;

I realized the essence of life,

It is just a beautiful mystery !!

And then I lived,

Among someone’s tears,

Amidst someone’s feeble smiles,

In the cupboard of memories,

And within the frames of wood.

I lived and relived each year,

On the date of the anniversary,

Beaming a light in darkness,

Fuelled with reams of thoughts.

Whether I lost or I won,

It passed as I was gone;

But still in the relics of time,

I left prints of mine,

To be remembered !!

In the webs of time,

I often stranded self with emotions;

Some expressed,

And some remained secret with me.

What did I earn ?

Nothing I could take to skies,

But still stood as someone’s star !!

In the belief of being there,

And thus still living,

The “life of death"...
