Lifeless
Lifeless
I'm a lifeless tree,
To this, the human population agree.
I can't talk
Neither can I walk.
'Lifeless' regarded am I
Can't be lively as much as I try.
Seeing those birds fly so high
How much, I want to soar the sky!
But, stuck to the ground, here I lie.
'Lifeless' regarded am I
Can't be lively as much as I try
I do not have flowers as friends,
For the beauty they could lend.
Green leaves are filled in me,
And what I get to hear is, "Oh, look at that boring
tree!"
'Lifeless' regarded am I
Can't be lively as much as I try
I do not have any voice
I need it not to make any noise
But to make others know what I want
Oh, how I wish to be their haunt!
Lifeless' regarded am I
Can't be lively as much as I try
My Fellow trees are lucky enough
No matter they're so rough
The Jacaranda next to me flowers
The Raven Spruce is liked just because he towers
Lifeless' regarded am I
Can't be lively as much as I try
But that no longer bothers me
For the deep roots I have that they can't see.
It matters not I'm not cherished
My observance make these thoughts perished.
I will stand strong
Will stay alive and firm for long
I'll always welcome my shadows
And neglect the way the wind blows
I'm a lively tree
No matter what the human population agree.
