Lightning Beauty
Lightning Beauty
On a gloomy day, burdened by life's strife,
I sought respite from my internal blight.
Then, a sound caught my ear, a bird's sweet life,
Its song a balm to calm my restless night.
As I sat in stillness, lost in thought,
A sudden flash of light pierced through the grey,
And in that instant, my heart was caught,
For you appeared and stole my breath away.
Your beauty struck me like a bolt of lightning,
A force of nature, bright and bold and rare,
And though our meeting was so fleeting,
The memory of you still fills me with a flare.
Thus, I thank the birds and gloomy skies,
For bringing you, a beauty that defies.
