Little Mermaid

Little Mermaid

Beneath the waves, in an ocean blue,

Lived a little mermaid, so fair and true,

With hair like seaweed, and a tail so bright,

She swam and played, with all her might.

Her world was full of wonders untold,

With coral reefs and treasures of gold,

She danced with dolphins, and sang with whales,

And told stories to the sea snails.

But one day, as she swam alone,

She saw a ship, with a prince on his throne,

She watched him from afar, with curious eyes,

And wondered what it was like to be wise.

She longed to be part of his world,

To see the sun and the stars unfurled,

To walk on sand, and feel the breeze,

To be free, like the birds and the bees.

So, she made a deal with the sea witch,

And traded her voice, without a hitch,

For legs to walk on land, and a chance to be,

The prince's love, and live happily.

But the price was high, and the pain was real,

As she walked on land, with a heart to steal,

She felt like a stranger, in a world so strange,

A little mermaid, with a life rearranged.

In the end, she chose love over life,

And plunged into the sea, without a strife,

Her sacrifice, a true act of love,

A little mermaid, watching from above.
